good morning...

I'm getting ready to head out for a little breakfast...excited about drinking a whole bowlful of latte and eating something delicious like a poached egg with fontina on the most delicious bread ever made. Here.

Later this morning, I'm meeting a sweet friend for a little shopping and fun. It's sure to be a great day.

And do you like my new shoes? Yes, that's right. Kangaroos, circa 1983, with a zipper pouch. My 12 year old inner girl is so happy to finally have these.

I wanted a pair of Kangaroos so badly back in the 80s. I got a pair of Tretorns that my cousin out grew before she ever got to wear them and that had to suffie. No 'roos for me. lol

I had those shoes. Almost exactly. I was...hm...maybe 10? and the shoes were baby blue, I kept a dime in the left shoe pocket. Just because I could. And hey, back then, that was enough for a phone call.

I love these shoes! I have had 3 pairs in the last 5 years, and just love them. The pocket is great for carrying spare change or an extra key (where I live, it's a bit dangerous, so I always like to think that I'll be ok if I get robbed, but still have phone change.)
